ScanMyFridge — Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ScanMyFridge ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ScanMyFridge is a recipe discovery app that uses AI to identify ingredients from photos of your fridge and suggests recipes based on what you have. The App also offers meal planning, recipe saving, shopping list management, and recipe search features.

3. Subscriptions

• Free tier: The App offers limited free usage each month, including a limited number of AI generations, saved recipes, saved links, and meal plans.
• Premium Monthly: A paid auto-renewable subscription that unlocks unlimited AI generations, unlimited saved recipes, unlimited saved links, and unlimited meal plans.
• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play Store > Subscriptions on Android). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Free trials: If a free trial is offered, the unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.
• Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content.

5. AI-Generated Content

Recipes and ingredient detection are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational purposes only. The App does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any recipe or ingredient identification. Always use your own judgment when preparing food, especially regarding allergens and food safety.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
